Just a quick Sunday snack – J and I have a serious addiction to avocados, and everyone has their own version of this simple recipe.
Toast 2 slices of bread for every avocado. I prefer a whole wheat or multigrain option.
Slice the avocado lengthwise and lay on top of the bread. Sprinkle salt, pepper, crushed chilli flakes, and a drizzle of lemon juice on top and enjoy! Oftentimes, I will mash the avocado with the seasonings since it incorporates flavors more thoroughly, but using slices is more photogenic and saves me from washing one less dish.
